When ferals become friends, part 1

While Mama may not want to run up to the people for pets the way Fluffy Butt does, she certainly has become much more friendly toward her humans! She isn't as scared as she used to be (although no one has been able to touch her when she's looking... yet), and she no longer really wonders away from the backyard. And on occasion she'll even sit near you when you're hanging out in the backyard. You can tell she's thinking about trying out the people and seeing what this petting thing is all about, but she hasn't quite made that final step. She's getting closer though, and I know just by the change in her attitude from when we first started feeding her that she's got the attachment to us that typically forms when feeding ferals on a schedule.
Even though feral cats may not be overly affectionate lap cats, their appreciation for their caretakers is one of the best feelings you can ever receive!!
