Staging Facility

With another trip to Maryland planned for this coming Sunday, Animal Services has been handing over all their kittens to the Cat Network for some loving care and preparation. With the numbers already well over 50, a lot of space was required to house the kittens until transport this weekend. A kind member donated a large space to use as a staging facility, and there are currently about 60 cats being housed there with more coming in each day. Volunteers spend time there in shifts, cleaning cages, feeding everyone, playing with the kittens and anything else that is required. My first shift was last night, and I have to say it was pretty interesting. I've never had to care for that large a number before, but with the right system in place (which is the case here) it's pretty easy and much better for all the kittens. And while they were all so cute I wanted to take each and everyone one of them home, I know they'll all end up with caring forever families!!
Here are a few pictures I snapped last night:

These three were beautiful, and will be adopted in no time!!

Two litters of kittens, both trouble makers!
